Once again, the Income Tax raids has turned its attention to BRS MLA and former Minister Malla Reddy amid accusations of selling management quota seats in his colleges at inflated prices. IT officials are currently investigating these allegations, which have led to tense situations at Malla Reddy Agriculture University with the detention of 40 students. Angry students and parents are accusing the management of prioritizing profits over student welfare, citing inadequate documentation of transactions.
The IT officials’ primary objective is to determine the prices at which the management quota seats were sold and the fees paid by each student. College records have been seized and taken to the IT office, where the college management and staff have been questioned. Additionally, there are reports of assets exceeding reported income in the names of relatives, further intensifying the investigation.
