Mrunal Thakur, known for her remarkable performances in films like “Hi Nana,” continues to make strides in her acting career. While her recent release “Family Star” alongside Vijay Deverakonda, received mixed reviews, Thakur’s talent once again shone through.
In a recent interview, Thakur opened up about the challenges she faced in her journey as an actress. She candidly shared that there was a time when she missed out on several promising film opportunities due to the presence of intimate scenes. Thakur revealed that initially she hesitated to perform such scenes and would often turn down roles because of them. However, realizing the importance of not letting these opportunities slip away, she eventually sat down with her parents to explain her dilemma.
“I was not really comfortable doing scenes which were intimate, like romantically. I would just get scared, I’d just say no to a film, but how long could I say no” Thakur recalled. She emphasized the difficult balance between wanting to pursue her passion for acting and respecting her personal boundaries.
Thakur admitted to missing out on projects simply because they involved kissing scenes. Despite her reluctance, she recognized that as an actor, she needed to be adaptable to the demands of certain scenes. However, she also emphasized the importance of being able to communicate discomfort and boundaries on set.
Through her perseverance, Thakur found a way to navigate the challenges of being from a non-film background in the industry. Her story serves as an inspiration to aspiring actors facing similar obstacles.
