In a heartbreaking incident, a 32-year-old man lost his life on Wednesday after suddenly collapsing while working out at a gym in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi.

The individual, identified as Deepak Gupta, was captured on CCTV touching his head before falling to the ground.
Witnessing his fall, fellow gym-goers rushed to his aid, but their efforts were in vain. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Gupta was declared dead upon arrival.
Known for his dedication to fitness, Gupta was a regular at the gym and often participated in various fitness events.
Sadly, this incident adds to a series of workout-related deaths in recent times.
In February 2024, Dilpreet Singh, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) stationed in Malerkotla, suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while exercising at a gym in a Ludhiana luxury hotel.
In September 2023, a 19-year-old male tragically collapsed and passed away while using a treadmill in Ghaziabad.
And in July 2023, a 33-year-old man experienced a sudden heart attack and died in Telangana’s Khammam.
These incidents serve as a sobering reminder of the importance of health and safety during physical activity.
