Malkajgiri, the largest parliamentary constituency in India, saw a surge in nomination filings, with 177 nominations submitted by 114 candidates. This constituency, situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad, attracted significant attention during the nomination period, reflecting the intense political activity in the region.
Across Telangana’s 17 constituencies, a total of 895 candidates entered the electoral fray. The last day for nominations saw a notable influx, with 348 candidates, primarily independents, submitting their papers. Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj confirmed that the scrutiny of nominations commenced promptly the following day.
In the electoral landscape, Malkajgiri emerged as a focal point, witnessing a flurry of activity on the final day, with 63 aspirants adding their nominations to the mix.
