Officials from the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department (FDA) took action after receiving complaints about food-related illnesses in Noida. Samples were collected from a McDonald’s in Sector 18 and Theobroma bakery in Sector 104.
One customer reported feeling unwell after eating a burger and fries from McDonald’s. The FDA team gathered samples of palm oil, cheese, and mayonnaise from the outlet to investigate.
In another incident, a person fell ill after consuming a stale cake from Theobroma bakery. Samples of the pineapple cake were taken for testing.
Assistant Commissioner Archana Dheeran mentioned that test results are expected in a month. If the samples fail, further action will be taken, possibly including legal measures.
These actions aim to ensure food safety and address concerns raised by consumers.
