Recently, there have been reports that the casting for Geetu Mohandas’ next film, Toxic, has been changed. Kareena Kapoor was originally set to play Yash’s sister in this much anticipated gangster drama. However, Kapoor had to step down from the project due to scheduling conflicts with her other commitments, disappointing fans who were looking forward to seeing the Yash-Kareena pairing on screen.
But if the latest buzz is to be believed then it seems like makers have found their eyes on Nayanthara for this key sister role of South Indian superstar. It has been said that multiple meetings happened between producers and Nayanthara where they narrated her script. According to sources close to them, not only did she like both storylines but also expressed keenness towards being part of it too; though negotiations are still going on and she will join once everything gets finalized.
In Toxic, Nayanthara would join Kiara Advani who is already confirmed as leading lady opposite Yash in this movie which will hit theaters worldwide soon enough as ‘Fairy tale for grown-ups’ slated for release on April 10th 2025.
