Tabu, a well-known actress, has been cast in the upcoming American television series Dune: Prophecy alongside Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, and Mark Strong.
Tabu, known for her outstanding performances in Bollywood films such as Maachis, Haider, and Drishyam, is continuing to advance in her career. Following the success of her latest release, Crew, she now embarks on this exciting international initiative.
Diane Ademu-John co-created the series Dune Prophecy, which she also executive produces, along with showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker. Anna Foerster directed several episodes, including the premiere, and also serves as executive producer. The production crew includes Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts. Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert are also executive producers for the Frank Herbert estate, with Anderson serving as a co-producer.
Dune: Prophecy, a co-production between Max and Legendary Television, continues the Dune franchise’s tradition, with Legendary also producing the film adaptations. While the release date remains unknown, excitement is great.
The series is a sequel to 2019 Dune The Sisterhood, which was inspired by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson’s novel Sisterhood of Dune. Dune: Prophecy will follow the lives of two Harkonnen sisters as they face threats to humanity’s destiny and form the unique group known as the Bene Gesserit.
