A shocking incident rocked Salman Khan Bandra residence on April 14 when two unknown attackers fired shots outside his home. While the Mumbai Police have been working tirelessly on the case, a recent development has added to the mystery.
Anuj Thapan, suspected of supplying the weapons used in the attack, died by suicide while in police custody on April 26. Alongside him, Sonu Subhash Chander was also arrested in Punjab a week after the incident. Former senior Maharashtra police officer PK Jain highlighted that Thapan’s death is being treated as suspicious, with the CID conducting a thorough investigation.
In response to the attack, Salman Khan security has been significantly enhanced to Y-plus level, with permission granted for him to carry a firearm. Additionally, he has reportedly acquired an armored vehicle for added protection.
The alleged shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were swiftly apprehended after the incident. CCTV footage aided their capture, leading to the recovery of suspected weapons from Gujarat Tapi River. Both Gupta and Pal remain in police custody as investigations continue into the motive behind the attack.
