The recent incident at Salman Khan House in Bandra, Mumbai, where gunfire erupted, sent shockwaves through the community. In the early hours of April 14th, four shots were fired outside Khan’s home, causing concern among residents and authorities alike. Mumbai Police swiftly responded to the incident, leading to the arrest of the alleged assailants.
Last week, the accused individuals, including Vicky Gupta, Sagar Pal, and Anuj Thapan, were brought before Special MCOCA judge A M Patil for proceedings. While Gupta, Pal, and Thapan were remanded to police custody, Sonu Kumar Chander Bishnoi was sent to judicial custody due to medical reasons.
Tragically, it has now come to light that one of the accused, Anuj Thapan, has taken his own life. Reports from ANI indicate that Thapan attempted suicide in the early hours of May 1st and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Thapan, aged 32, was pronounced dead upon arrival. Further details on this incident are still forthcoming, leaving many questions unanswered.
