In Mandi, Himachal Pradesh scenic beauty acted as a backdrop to Kangana Ranaut’s entry into politics, but the speech she made there set off an inferno. The actor-turned-politician from her hometown is already in a soup after targeting the opposition in her recent speech.
In a video shared on her Instagram account, Kangana Ranaut did not mince words while attacking those she considers political enemies. Many netizens were left shaking their heads at the personal attacks that followed. This vitriol coming from someone who used to be a Bollywood star has been likened to what one would expect from lower-cadre politicians or even goons; which begs one question: who scripted her speech?
Kangana was called ‘pagaal aurat’ (crazy woman) by some of her critics as they accused her of being politically immature and lacking in decorum. She may have been Bollywood’s best actress but every word she utters seems like another matchstick waiting to ignite fresh controversies since joining national politics.
