At a recent promotional event for “Mr & Mrs Mahi,” Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor shared her challenging experience while filming, revealing that she dislocated both shoulders during her intense training.
Janhvi Kapoor is excited about her upcoming film “Mr & Mrs Mahi,” co-starring Rajkummar Rao. The film, already making headlines, is set to release on May 31, 2024. During the promotion, Janhvi opened up about the physical toll of her role, mentioning multiple injuries, including shoulder dislocations, and moments when she felt like giving up.
Janhvi talked about the two years she spent preparing for the film, which included learning to play cricket. She praised director Sharan Sharma for his commitment to authenticity, insisting that she become a real cricketer without relying on visual effects.
“I started training during ‘Mili,’ and it took two years,” Janhvi said. “Our director wanted everything to be real. I dislocated both my shoulders and faced many injuries, but I owe it all to Sharan and my coaches, Abhishek Nayar and Vikrant sir. They encouraged me when I felt like giving up.”
Director Sharan Sharma had previously shared Janhvi’s training journey on Instagram, showing her progress from a beginner to someone confidently batting like a professional. He noted that Janhvi knew nothing about cricket when she started but worked hard to learn everything.
In “Mr & Mrs Mahi” Janhvi plays a doctor who discovers her passion for cricket through her husband, played by Rajkummar Rao, and decides to pursue it wholeheartedly.
