To encourage more people to vote in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections, TDP leader Chandrababu has wrote a letter to the RTC MD to arrange extra buses, ensuring no inconvenience for travelers.
Chandrababu highlighted that increasing the number of buses would not only provide convenience to travelers but also lead to a higher voter turnout. With the polling day nearing, many voters residing in other cities, including Telangana, are making their way back to their hometowns in AP to cast their votes.
During elections, the RTC service is crucial, providing a reliable way for voters to reach home. But with many people going to bus stands in Hyderabad and Vijayawada, there aren’t sufficient buses, causing longer waiting times.
To address this issue, Chandrababu emphasized the need for additional buses to be arranged for the next few days to ensure smooth travel for passengers. He also pointed out that special buses have been arranged from Hyderabad, and even the South Central Railway has provided extra services to accommodate the surge in travelers.
While efforts are being made to enhance transportation facilities, private travel operators have come under scrutiny for increasing ticket prices substantially, causing distress among passengers.
Furthermore, with many individuals opting to travel to AP in their own vehicles, the highways are experiencing heavy congestion, leading to traffic jams at toll plazas. This situation has been exacerbated by the upcoming weekend, consecutive holidays, and the proximity of the polling day.
