A month following the arrest of KCR’s daughter, K Kavitha, in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, KCR addressed the issue publicly for the first time. He characterized it as a politically motivated move orchestrated by the BJP to exert pressure on their adversaries. According to KCR, this action was a retaliatory measure after the BRS government’s alleged attempt to apprehend BL Santosh for purported bribery.
Expressing his views, KCR stated that the arrest of Kavitha was a response from the BJP following the BRS government’s endeavor to detain their leader, BL Santosh, for bribery allegations and attempts to sway BRS MLAs. He further criticized Modi, labeling him as a politically opportunistic figure who sought to destabilize the Congress government in Telangana by enticing BRS MLAs away.
Additionally, KCR speculated on the political landscape, suggesting that CM Revanth Reddy’s inclination towards joining the BJP lacked substantial support from Congress MLAs. He asserted that despite attempts to sway allegiance, around 20 Congress MLAs remained in contact with BRS, highlighting the intricate dynamics at play within the political realm.
