The victims were identified as daily wage laborers from Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Reports indicate they were employed at a new construction project named Harijan Construction in Bachupally.
The tragedy didn’t end there. In another rain-related incident, two bodies were found floating in floodwaters within canals located in Secunderabad’s Begumpet Old Custom Basti area. The Begumpet police were notified by local residents and have launched an investigation to identify the deceased.
The heavy rain came down for about an hour and a half, bringing significant rainfall to the city. Several areas recorded record-breaking precipitation levels. The highest rainfall was measured at 12 centimeters in Kukatpally, with other areas receiving significant amounts as well.
