Chiripi Ramesh has shown incredible strength and determination. Once a street vendor, he’s now entering politics to speak up for street vendors in Hyderabad during the Lok Sabha elections.
Driven by a deep sense of injustice, Ramesh journey began when he and nearly 1,890 other street vendors were forcibly evicted from their livelihood on Chaitanyapuri main road. Despite having all the necessary permissions and licenses, they found themselves without a source of income.
Undeterred by the challenges ahead, Ramesh decided to take matters into his own hands. He decided to run for office, determined to bring attention to the plight of street vendors and small businesses who often face neglect from politicians.
His decision to enter the political arena was not made lightly. Ramesh had initially sought support from various politicians to help him restart his business, but when none came forward, he realized that he needed to be the change he wanted to see.
With limited resources and against formidable opponents, Ramesh is relying on the support of friends and relatives to fund his campaign. Yet, his determination remains unshaken.
Reflecting on his journey, Ramesh recalls his humble beginnings. After moving to Hyderabad in 2011 in search of government employment, he found himself starting a roadside tiffin center to make ends meet. Despite the challenges, he managed to employ six people, providing them with a means of livelihood.
Now, as he stands on the brink of a new chapter in his life, Ramesh is determined to be a voice for the voiceless. He urges the government and politicians to support small businesses like his, ensuring that the youth do not remain unemployed.
In the face of adversity, Chiripi Reddy Ramesh’s story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration. His journey from street vendor to political candidate embodies the spirit of resilience and the power of one individual to make a difference in the world.
