The ceremony also paid tribute to trailblazers like the first woman judge of the Supreme Court, the late M Fathima Beevi, and the distinguished owner of “Bombay Samachar,” Hormusji N Cama, who were honored with Padma awards for their outstanding contributions to society.

The Padma awards, including Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri, recognize individuals who have excelled in various fields, ranging from art and literature to public service and sports. President Droupadi Murmu presided over the ceremony, which marked the culmination of a rigorous selection process that identified 132 deserving recipients for the Padma awards, including five Padma Vibhushan, 17 Padma Bhushan, and 110 Padma Shri awardees. Notably, the list included thirty remarkable women achievers, underscoring the significant strides made towards gender equality and empowerment.

While the awards were announced on the eve of Republic Day, the ceremony provided a fitting platform to honor those who have dedicated their lives to serving humanity and inspiring future generations.
