Post Covi-19 lockdown work from home was a necessary adjustment. However, jobs that required human interaction and meetings were turned towards zoom and other application. However, Zoom turned out to be a household name and it was convenient to use. Besides, school colleges and other institutions offering various courses had opted for zoom to continue the training online. The application had indeed ensured a virtual classroom despite parents objecting to it. There are nearly 2300 education institutions in India that are using zoom for online classes.
The US-based Zoom Video Communications had informed that there was a huge plan to launch a center in Bengaluru India. Bengaluru is an IT hub in India. The hiring will begin and they are looking for indigenous talent.
There is already a Zoom office in Mumbai; however, the number of people that will be hired for Bengaluru is not yet disclosed.
President for product and Engineering Velchamy Sankarlingam said, “Zoom is focused on providing the best-unified communications experience in the world and we are thrilled to open a technology center in Bengaluru, which will be an innovation hub for our communications platform.”
He also appreciated the talent in India and showed his eagerness to expand DevOps, IT, Security, and Business Operation team in India.
