YRSCP MP Stirs Hornet's Nest by Slamming YRSCP Narsapuram MLAJun 16, 2020 09:27 AM
Post-2019 assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, several TDP MLAs have joined CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Former CM and opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu has accused YSRCP of luring TDP MLAs.
Now YSRCP MP from Narsapuram, K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, stirred hornet's nest by finding fault with his own party leadership.
While addressing his followers in Narsapuram, Krishnam Raju took a dig at Prasada Raju, YRSCP MLA from Narsapuram. Allegedly, the MLA commented that Krishnam Raju had begged the party to earn the MP seat.
MP Krishnam Raju said that CM Jagan had turned down his request for an appointment multiple times. He said, "I met him a couple of times during Parliamentary Party meetings. I thought I would meet him in Delhi, but Jagan has not been going there. That is why I am shamelessly saying in public that I have not been getting the chief minister’s appointment.”
Krishnam Raju woefully expressed that while Jagan ignored his own party MP's request, he gave an appointment to BJP leader Gokaraju Ganga Raju’s son Ranga Raju.
Jagan made Ranga Raju the president of the YSRC Narasarpuram parliamentary constituency. However, Krishnam Raju said that Jagan didn't consult or inform him before taking this decision.
Andhra Pradesh budget session is scheduled to commence from Tuesday. Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu said he will be questioning YRSCP for turning a blind-eye to the plight of the farmers in Andhra Pradesh. Babu said that the governmnent had cancelled the pattas issued during the TDP rule. Further, he accused YRSCP MLA of illegally amassing the wealth.
