Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Has plenty of FundsMay 21, 2020 12:54 PM
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has enough funds to pay the salary to its employees said chairman Y V Subba Reddy of the TTD trust. He spoke against the recent report that went viral over social media that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is seriously short of funds. In fact, the report was completely false as it stated that the temple administration has serious money deficit to pay the salaries of its employees. He indeed showed disappointment over such rumor that is spread on various social media platforms.
Subba Reddy reiterated, “We have no scarcity of funds and there will not be any problem to pay salaries and pensions to our employees as well for maintenance. As per State Government norms, we have paid March and April salaries and are ready to pay May salaries.
Apart from answering the fake information, he was delighted that despite the two months lockdown and a total restriction on social gathering the collection was encouraging. The collection through e-hundi was Rs 1.97 crore in April. The amount exceeded by 18 lakhs from last year April 2019.
Subba Reddy was pleased that the collection was incredible and the devotee's reverence did not waver despite 60 days of lockdown. In fact, the offering increased even more during the period. The Chairman was excited to announce that the “Laddu Prasadam of Tirumala” would be available in the next three days at a discount of 50%. The reduction in prices is certainly great news for the devotees- 175 grams of laddu was Rs 50 previously; after the discount, it would be sold at Rs 25 per laddu.
All the laddu Prasadam will be sold at information centers in 13 districts of AP as well as Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Also devotes can buy at TTD Kalyana Mandapams (Wedding halls).
