The Witch Hunting Begins

Before the State Government take legal action against the Eenadu Ch Ramoji Rao and Andhra Jyothy V Radhakrishna on defamation charges. Why not suspend the twitter account of erudite citizens who are showing math behind the purchase of 1088 ambulances. Do they want us to ignore the false news and propaganda by yellow media?

Perhaps people who have witnessed jungle raj could hold a candle in front of YSRCP. Their supporters on twitter peddle fake news and propagate a larger than life image of Jagan. Sending legal notice and accusing opposition with defamation charges is contrary to Democracy. Not everyone in the State can sing the same song. Everything seems to be going as per the whims and fancy of the ruling party. Hence, anything against the State Government would be construed as defamation. In realpolitik, one cannot maintain an image of holier than thou for a long time.

Since yesterday along with Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy, Telugu Desam Party official spokesman Kommareddy Pattabhi received a legal notice. He made certain allegation on the ruling party at a press conference. Instead of rebutting the allegations, a legal notice was sent to the TDP spoke person. It was indeed undemocratic and stopping freedom of speech.

The State Government public prosecutor K Srinivas Reddy said, “If the TDP and the two Telugu dailies do not tender an unconditional apology to the government for making false allegations, they would be liable for civil and criminal proceedings against them.”

Is there any truth behind the allegation?

The media outlets are coerced to apologize which shows the character of the ruling party.
