The Telangana Government has given permission for movie and TV serial shootings in the state. CM KCR has signed on the file today pertaining to the resumption of filming. But, the opening of cinema theatres is not permitted as the state wants to wait for the central government guidelines in this aspect. However, the makers should ensure that everyone should strictly adhere to the lockdown regulations during the shoot.

The Telugu Film Industry has discussed about resuming the movie and TV serial shoots with CM KCR and Talasani Srinivas Yadav last month. The issue was also discussed with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar too. Finally, CM KCR responded positively and gave a nod for Tollywood to start shootings as well as post-production works. The decision is taken after attaining clarity on the presence of cast and crew size at the sets along with the locations to shoot.

The movie shootings are on hold for about three months since a week before the lockdown. This relaxation will surely give a huge sigh of relief not only for the producers but also for thousands of cine workers who live on daily wages. Most importantly, the movies which are on the verge of completion and those in the postproduction stage will wrap up the pending works to be ready for a release in theatres once they are permitted.

Meanwhile, the Tollywood is also having a meet with AP CM Jagan tomorrow at 3:00 pm. Let’s wait and see what they will discuss in the meeting with Jagan who has already permitted to shoot in AP. Irrespective of the locations, sets, studios, or makeup rooms, everything needs to be sanitized properly. The individuals should maintain social distance by wearing facemasks except the actors while facing the camera.

Finally, the Central Government may also permit theatres to screen in the near future imposing the restrictions. So, let’s anticipate positively that the golden days of entertainment are back while the dreadful Corona gradually disappears from our lives. Either by itself or driven away by us with a potential vaccine that kills the virus.
