RGV defines and defends Nepotism; Feels Karan Johar is a Bigger Victim!Jun 17, 2020 06:55 AM
Producer Karan Johar is being mercilessly trolled on social media over the suicidal death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Many are blaming the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ director with the ‘Nepotism’ tag. Few of the celebrities in the industry like Kangana Ranaut also expressed that the outsiders are not easily welcomed in Bollywood. Few others like director Abhinav Kashyap made startling revelationsabout the biggies in the ‘B’ town by explaining the manner in which they dent the confidence of newcomers.
Reacting to the trolls on Nepotism in Bollywood, director Ram Gopal Varma has come to the rescue of Karan Johar through a series of tweets. Ramu expressed that addressing nepotism in a negative sense is a joke. The director expressed that the society will collapse without nepotism as it is the fundamental tenet of social structure.
Explaining the nepotism, the sensational director stated that Shah Rukh Khan will only launch his son Aryan but not someone unknown. ‘Likewise, politicians like Mulayam, Uddhav, and industrialists like Dhirubhai Ambani will first prefer their respective sons and relatives’ quoted the director. RGV added that there is no such thing as insiders and outsiders in the industry. Reminding that Amitabh was also an outsider once; RGV stated that only the audience will decide everyone’s fate in the industry.
Finally, RGV felt that Karan Johar is right at the top as his films are watched by millions, and blaming him as an insider is ridiculous. Further, the director attacked the social media warriors who are trying to take the undue advantage of Sushant’s death to vent out their jealousy on Karan. Calling the trollers as social lynching mob, RGV sympathized with KJ for being a bigger victim of the ill-perceived and ignorant people.
