Rana’s Film Unit had a Lucky Escape from ElephantsMay 12, 2020 01:50 PM
Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film is Virata Parvam and Venu Udugula is the director of the movie. Suresh Productions and Sri Laxmi Venkateswara Cinemas are jointly producing this flick which stars Sai Pallavi in the female lead. She is playing a country girl who turns into a Naxalite in the movie and a first look poster of her was released recently on her birthday. Sources say that she also took combat training under a former Naxal for playing her role.
Most part of this film’s shooting is completed and the majority of it was shot in the thick forests of Warangal, Vikarabad, and Kerala. A couple of months back when the unit was shooting in Kerala, they had a horrific experience with the elephants.
After the end of the day’s shoot at 6:00 pm, the crew was returning to the hotel. On their way, they heard the sounds of trumpeting elephants. Within no time, they could see a herd of about 20 elephants rushing towards them. In a state of shock, everyone in the unit ran for their life. It is said that they kept running for about half a kilometer without even looking back.
Director Venu and heroine Sai Pallavi were also present in this unit. Hero Rana was said to have left a bit earlier that day. Remembering the scary incident, the unit felt that it was just a lucky escape. Sources said that no one is hurt in the incident. Later, they got to know that the wild elephants come to that location regularly after 6:00 pm in the evening.
However, only a few days of shooting are left to complete the movie and it will be wrapped up once the lockdown is over. The Bahubali actor has lined up several films which include multi-lingual as well as Bollywood movies too. Apparently, a biopic on Kodi Ramamurthy also seems to be on the cards along with Haathi Mere Saathi, 1945, director Teja’s film, and a mythological movie ‘Hiranya Kashyapa’with director Guna Sekhar.
