A shocking case of domestic violence has come to light in Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh. Police were left horrified after viewing CCTV footage that documented a wife’s brutal torture of her husband.
The couple, Mannan and Meher, were reportedly married for love. However, their relationship turned sour when it emerged Meher struggled with addictions to cigarettes and drugs. Mannan reportedly encouraged her to seek help and break these habits, even suggesting she stay with her parents for a time to focus on recovery.

These pleas for change were allegedly met with abuse from Meher. Mannan reported the mistreatment to the police, but his claims were reportedly ignored. Determined to document the abuse, Mannan took matters into his own hands and installed CCTV cameras within the home.
The footage captured a horrific scene. Meher is seen drugging Mannan’s rice. Once unconscious, she ties him up and burns him with cigarettes in multiple places. The escalation continues as Meher even attempts to harm him with a knife. Fortunately, Mannan regains consciousness and manages to escape. He immediately sought help from the police, who were finally compelled to take action after witnessing the undeniable evidence on the CCTV recording.
