In a bold and unreserved media interaction, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on ex-CM KCR, extending criticism to AP CM Jagan. Addressing the Krishna waters dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Revanth accused YS Rajasekhar Reddy of deceiving Telangana by redirecting Pothireddypadu waters to AP.
Revanth asserted that the exploitation persisted under KCR and YS Jagan’s tenures. He highlighted a specific instance when Jagan secured permission during a lunch meeting with KCR to divert 8 TMCs of Telangana waters to Rayalaseema Irrigation projects.
Taking an unexpected turn, the Telangana CM directly challenged YS Jagan to visit Nagarjunasagar and replicate the water diversion, daring him with the words, “Dhammunte ippudu raa Jagan.”
Accusing KCR of manipulating state bifurcation guidelines to favor his interests, Revanth labeled him a “Durmargudu” for deliberately diverting Telangana’s waters. The strong statements underscore the intensifying political dynamics surrounding the water dispute.
