YS Sharmila, the AP Congress president, launched a scathing attack on Vaikapa MP Avinash Reddy, accusing him of fleeing town due to the fear of defeat in Kadapa. She alleged that passports were being prepared for his escape. Speaking at a press conference in Kadapa, Sharmila claimed that Reddy is apprehensive of potential arrest if he loses the election. She criticized his recent remarks, where he allegedly stated that winning as an MP equates to crime triumphing.
Further, Sharmila expressed outrage over comments made by CM Jagan’s wife, YS Bharati, suggesting that Vaikapa holds sole dominance in Kadapa. She condemned the idea of consolidating power by eliminating opposition, insinuating that this was Bharati’s strategy. YS Sharmila warned voters that supporting Avinash Reddy could lead to representation from behind bars, implying legal consequences for his alleged actions.
In a symbolic gesture, YS Sharmila sent a radio as a gift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to listen to the concerns of the people of AP. She criticized Modi for not having the right to enter the state and demanded an apology to the people of AP for allegedly neglecting their interests. Sharmila accused Modi of betraying the state over the past decade and questioned the sincerity of his sudden affection during the election season. She asserted that the people of AP are vigilant to Modi’s past actions and will not be deceived again.
