Political career:

• Satish Kumar is from a family with a political background. Satish Pedananna Oditala Rajeshwar served as MLA, MLC and Rajya Sabha member. Father Captain V. Laxmikanta Rao also served as MLA and Minister. When PV Narasimha Rao contested as MP from Rantek in 1989, Satish along with his friends campaigned for PV. In 1995, Satish was unanimously elected as Singapuram village sarpanch. He joined TRS in 2001 . Actively worked in the Telangana movement . In 2002, TRS He was elected as the party president of Huzurabad Mandal. In 2005, Tummanapally was elected as the President of the Single Window Basic Agricultural Cooperative Credit Union. In 2006 and 2011, he was unanimously elected as the Director of Warangal Urban Co-operative Bank. 

   He was appointed in-charge of Husnabad constituency in 2012. He played a vital role in local body elections by winning 73 sarpanchs, five ZPTCs, 32 MPTCs and three single window presidents. In the 2014 Telangana general election, he contested against the Telangana Rashtra Samiti Party from Husnabad Legislative Assembly constituency and won with a margin of 34,269 votes over the nearest Congress Party candidate Aligi Reddy Praveen Reddy. In the 2018 Telangana by-elections, he contested from Husnabad Legislative Assembly constituency on Telangana Rashtra Samithi Party ticket and won by a margin of 70,530 votes over CPI Party candidate Chada Venkata Reddy.
