He is an Indian politician currently serving as the Minister of Roads, Buildings and Legislative Affairs & Housing Department of Telangana since 8 September 2019. He is a Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly from Balkonda constituency from 2 June 2014. He is the member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Party and the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Balkonda constituency of Nizamabad district, Telangana.

He was born on 14-03-1966 to V. Surender Reddy in Vailpoor Village, Nizamabad Dist. He attained Graduation B.E. (CIVIL) from Gulbarga University, Karnataka in 1989.

Political career & Timeline:

- He started his political journey with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) Party. From 2014- 2018, He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Balkonda Constituency, Nizamabad Dist. He was the Vice-Chairman of Telangana Drinking Water Supply Corporation (Mission Bhagiratha) from 2014 to 2018.
- In 2018, He worked as a Member of the Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Balkonda Constituency, Nizamabad Dist from the TRS Party.
- Later in 2019, Vemula Prashanth Reddy was elected as Minister of Roads & Buildings Legislative affairs and Housing of the Government of Telangana from the TRS Party.
