Early life:

Chintamadaka village, located near Siddipet in what was once Hyderabad State but is now part of Telangana, is where Chandrashekar Rao was born. He hails from the Padmanayaka Velama community and comes from a family of 11 siblings, including 9 sisters and an elder brother. He earned his Master’s degree in Telugu literature from Osmania University in Hyderabad.

Political career:

He started career as a councilor in BJP and then became municipal chairman. He won as TRS MLA in 2004, left the party to join the Congress. He was re-elected in 2009, but had lost in 2014.

He contested 2014 by poll from Medak (Lok Sabha constituency) being BJP candidate and lost. He again joined Congress in 2015.

Personal life:

Jagga Reddy is married to Nirmala and they have a daughter and son.
