Political career:

Thumkunta Narsa Reddy entered politics through the Congress Party and worked in various positions in the party. He won the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections from Gajwel constituency and was elected as an MLA for the first time. He   contested and lost in the assembly elections held after the formation of a separate state of Telangana in 2014. Narsa Reddy later left the Congress Party and joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti Party on 20 May 2014 at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad . 

Thumkunta Narsareddy was appointed as the Chairman of Telangana State Road Development Authority on 29 May 2017. He was suspended on 20 October 2018 after he was found to be involved in anti-TRS party activities. He later joined the Congress Party and is currently serving as the President of the Siddipet District Congress Party (DCC).
