He was born on 16-06-1965 to Ramulu. He completed 7th Standard in ZPSS, Aswaraopeta in 1976. He hails from an Agricultural family.
Political career:
He started his political journey with the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). He worked as a Sarpanch (10 years). In 2018, in Telangana Legislative Elections, he elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with the highest majority of 61,124 votes from the TDP party. He worked as TDP Floor Leader. He appointed as Telugu Desam Party General Secretary, Telangana State.
Apr-07-2021: Today Nageswara Rao Resigned to TDP, met Speaker Pocharam along with Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and gave a letter to merge TTDLP Party into TRSLP, Later met with CM KCR and both joined officially in TRS Party.

Mecha Nageswara Rao is married to Syamala and they have a son Ramu.
