He started his political career with the Congress Party, contested from Ella Reddy Legislative Assembly Constituency in the Telangana General Elections held in 2014 and lost to the nearest Telangana Rashtra Samiti Party candidate Enugu Ravinder Reddy by a margin of more than 24,000 votes. In the 2018 Telangana by-elections, he contested on a Congress Party ticket and won by a margin of over 31,000 votes over the nearest Telangana Rashtra Samiti Party candidate. He joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti Party from the Congress Party after winning as a legislator in 2018. He was a member of the Public Estimates Committee (PEC) in the Legislative Assembly in 2018.
Surender was born on March 25, 1973 to Narsaiah and Hanumavva in Nallamadugu village of Lingampet Mandal, Kamareddy District , Telangana State . He completed his graduation (BCom) in 1995 from Sardar Patel College under Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Political career & Timeline:
Jun-2019: In a shocking political event in Telangana Jajala Surender along with 11 other MLA’s won on Congress Ticket went to TS Assembly Speaker home and gave a letter to merge Congress Legislature Party in TRS, Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy approved the same.
Mar-2019: Today Surender met with TRS Working president KTR and expressed his wish to join TRS Party.Out of 19 MLAs that won the election in 2018 with surender decision 10 MLAs left Congress and were ready to join TRS.
Surender is married to Bhargavi. They have two sons.(Kinshuk & Kirteesh)
