Early life:

He was born on 09-08-1958 to Late Danam Linga Murthy. In 2001, He has completed his Post Graduation of MA from Madurai Kamaraj University. He was doing his own Business.

Political career:

Nagender started his political journey with the Congress Party. He was the Senior Leader of the Congress Party in Hyderabad. From 1994-1999, he was served as an MLA of the Congress Party in Asifnagar. From 1999-2003, he was worked as an MLA of the Congress Party in Asifnagar. In 2004, He was appointed as an MLA of the Congress party in Asifnagar and he Left the Congress Party.

He joined in the Telugu Desam Party(TDP) and he was the Leader. After winning from Asifnagar on the TDP ticket, he resigned his seat and left the TDP in an effort to get a place in the cabinet of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy through re-election as a Congress Party MLA. He failed in the by-election. Nagender joined again in the Congress Party. From 2009-2014, he was Served as an MLA of the Congress Party in Asifnagar. In 2009, He was appointed Minister for Health & Family Welfare, APVVP, and Hospital Services of Government in Andhra Pradesh. Nagender again appointed as a Minister for Labour in Andhra Pradesh.

Nagender joined the TRS Party and he was the Leader. In 2018, He was serving as an MLA(Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly) of the TRS Party in Khairatabad, Hyderabad, Telangana.

Danam Nagender is married to Anitha. They have a daughter Saipriya.
