Adam Santhosh Kumar was born on June 28, 1968, in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Telangana. He was the second child of his parents, Smt. Lalitha Bai and Sri. Adam Shanker Rao. His father was a dedicated government servant employed by the Indian Railways and a prominent leader within the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC). The family belonged to the Munnuru Kapu caste, one of the largest “Backward Communities” in the region.
