Sai Kumari Aunty Food, known for her food stall in Madhapur, faced trouble when the Raidurgam traffic police closed it down. This happened during a traffic enforcement effort in the IT corridor.
Kumari’s stall gained fame on social media, but the police saw it as a reason for traffic issues in the IT sector. They asked her to close for a week and advised her to find a better place with help from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

Ganesh Patel, a Raidurgam traffic inspector, mentioned, “She doesn’t have a permit for the stall, and it’s causing congestion on the footpath. Many YouTubers record videos here.”
Kumari, running the stall for 13 years, claimed her customers were asked not to park there. She felt singled out, as other stalls weren’t targeted.
The inspector explained, “There are 10 other stalls, but they have a court stay. We informed GHMC about it.”
Kumari shared that her husband was upset with the media attention leading to this situation.
Regarding traffic, another traffic inspector stated, Street vendors cause congestion without paying rent, affecting thousands of people.
