Under the ‘Thalliki Vandanam’ scheme, the government plans to allocate Rs 15,000 annually to every school-going child and Rs 20,000 to farmers through the ‘Annadata’ program. Additionally, households will receive three free gas cylinders yearly under the ‘Deepam’ initiative, while women aged 18-59 will receive Rs 1,500 monthly through the ‘Adabidda Nidhi’ scheme, and free RTC bus travel for women will be ensured.
Lokesh criticized the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government for neglecting Uttarandhra, accusing it of failing to secure land for the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone and attempting to privatize the Vizag Steel Plant. He assured that if TDP comes to power, they will purchase the steel plant to safeguard employees’ interests.
In Ichchapuram, Palasa, and Tekkali, Lokesh accused Jagan of failing to develop the state, alleging rampant corruption in sand, land, mines, and liquor sectors. He highlighted Jagan’s unfulfilled promises, such as the failure to conduct a mega DSC for filling 30,000 teacher vacancies, despite announcing it before the 2019 elections.
