MP Revanth Reddy Association to Chandrababu Naidu was Costly

Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy’s association with TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu proved costly as he missed the race of becoming the PCC president. Although the congress MP is known for his lobbying but missed the post. There is a suspicion of loyalty in the congress party against the MP. He was a dynamic leader in TDP once but later on, moved to congress party. However, an alliance happened between TDP and Congress which again made him an interlocutor. He was indeed in a perfect position to create a coalition between the two parties. But Chandrababu Naidu later dumped the Congress party, which led to suspicion towards Revanth Reddy.

There is inside information about Congress leaders showing their disappointment towards the MLA and also they informed Sonia Gandhi about Revanth Reddy close ties with Chandrababu Naidu. In fact, they explicitly showed their concern that if the MLA is given PCC then his old ally Chandrababu Naidu would be pulling the strings from behind the stage. This would certainly impact the party in the state. It might be curtains for the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh. There is also a concern in the Congress party that Revanth Reddy will try to promote himself at the expense of the party. The Congress members believe that he lost his PCC post because of the close tie with Chandrababu Naidu.
