Manjummel Boys, a survival thriller film, has taken the Mollywood industry by storm earning Rs. 230 crores. The unprecedented theatrical run of the picture is beyond belief for trade analysts who have ranked it as the highest-grossing Malayalam film even in Tamil Nadu.
An account of real events that happened in 2006, Manjummel Boys tells a story about some boys from Manjummel who saved their friend trapped inside Guna cave at Kodaikanal. It stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi and Balu Varghese among others under Chidambaram’s direction.
Now available on Disney Plus Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada languages with English subtitles included so that more people can watch and understand it better. The time difference between release dates at theaters and OTT platforms is exactly 74 days which connects both worlds together seamlessly.
In addition to this, even the Telugu dubbed version also did well at box office thereby solidifying its place as a pan Indian blockbuster hit across regions. Produced by Babu Shahir & Soubin Shahir jointly along with Shawn Antony for Parava Films banner; Music composed by Sushin Shyam himself only adds another feather into cap music wise too.
