Telugu director Raj Rachakonda first garnered attention with his biographical film Mallesham, which chronicled the life of Padma Shri awardee Mallesham, the inventor of the ingenious Asu machine. The movie, starring Priyadarshi and Ananya Nagalla, resonated with audiences and earned critical acclaim.
In 2023, Rachakonda turned his focus to Hindi cinema with the film 8 A.M. Metro. Based on the Telugu novel Andamaina Jeevitham by Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy, the movie features Gulshan Devaiah and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles. 8 A.M. Metro received positive reviews from critics upon its release.
After a year on the big screen, 8 A.M. Metro is finally making its way to streaming platforms. This heartwarming drama will be available to stream on ZEE5 starting May 10th. The film incorporates poems by the renowned poet Gulzar and was primarily shot within the Hyderabad Metro. Produced by Raj Rachakonda and Kishore Ganji, with music by Mark K. Robin, 8 A.M. Metro had a limited theatrical run. It will be interesting to see how the film fares on OTT.
