Suhas’ latest film, Prasanna Vadanam, opened during the first weekend of May and received mildly positive audience reviews compared to other releases. While there were whispers of a decent film, the movie’s first-day collections failed to gain significant traction. Despite being produced by the actor himself, which could be seen as an advantage, Prasanna Vadanam only managed a share of approximately 25 lakhs in Telugu states and 34 lakhs worldwide on the opening day.
The film did exhibit some growth on the second day. However, this increase wasn’t substantial enough to overcome the weak opening. Prasanna Vadanam earned a similar share of roughly 26 lakhs in Telugu states and 35 lakhs worldwide on day two. The total worldwide share for the first two days sits at under 70 lakhs, translating to an estimated gross collection of around 1.5 crores.
The film’s break-even target is reportedly in the range of 2.5 crores. While the second day’s performance showed some promise, fueled by positive word-of-mouth, the overall trend remains similar to the opening day. It remains to be seen how Prasanna Vadanam fares in the remaining days of its theatrical run.
