On Thursday, The Coronavirus cases in Telangana have crossed 6000 mark and for the first time the state registered 352 cases, the highest spike in a single day and added 3 numbers to existing death toll taking the numbers to 195.

The 352 new cases include 302 from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area , 17 from Rangareddy, 10 from Medchal. Of the total 6027 cases, 2531 are active cases, 3301 were discharged.

After coming under criticism the State Government started testing 50,000 members per day in containment zones. The High court advised State Government to conduct tests on Asymptomatic direct contacts between 5th and 10th day of coming in contact with the infected person. The idea being, if more cases are detected by testing then their contacts too can be traced and further spread of the virus can be checked.

Three private laboratories have begun testing at Government fixed rate 2,200 rupees per person. The private hospitals are joining the fight against Coronavirus as per the Government regulated tarrif announced earlier. With efforts of Government and private joining together one can hope that testing and containment will be taken further to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The rate of coronavirus among the first responders is also increasing with 60 cases being reported at Osmania General Hospital staff which is now a major concern and nothing short of a hotspot. Meanwhile, Telangana recieved 60 Covid care train coaches to which the state government has to provide doctors and paramedics. Railways will deploy one liaison officer to assist the state Government.
