Megastar Chiranjeevi leading a delegation of Tollywood producers and directors has met CM KCR today at his official residence to discuss over resuming shootings in TFI. Nagarjuna, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas, Koratala Siva, N Shankar, and others participated in the meeting. Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and former Minister Kadiyam Srihari were also present in the discussion.

This development took place following yesterday’s Tollywood meeting with Talasani. It is known that the Tollywood cine panel appealed to the Minister to arrange a meeting directly with the Chief Minister. Accordingly, they got the nod immediately from KCR today to discuss resuming activities in the industry. Sources say that many issues along with shootings and opening cinema halls were taken up with CM by Chiru and Co.

Finally, the talks with the Chief Minister became successful and got a positive response to resume shootings. It is learned that KCR has given formal approval to resume shootings in Tollywood from June. He also advised the necessary precautions that need to be taken on the sets adhering to the lockdown guidelines.

CM KCR has also told the Tollywood panel that a decision will be taken soon on reopening movie theatres once the shootings are resumed. Expressing his concern on lakhs of dependent workers on the cinema industry, CM also made his viewpoint clear by stressing the need to resume shoots safely.

Once the industry decides on the required maximum number of people to be allowed on sets and after finalizing locations, the Government will issue the guidelines to resume shootings in Tollywood from June. So, the TFI seems to be slowly but surely start their activities until a big decision on opening movie theatres is taken. But a huge question still remains to be seen whether the audience truly dares Corona to walk into theatres or not.
