In anticipation of the fervent celebrations surrounding Ram Navami, the Ram temple trust in Ayodhya has announced a temporary suspension of VIP Access for privileges, urging dignitaries to defer their visits until after April 19.
General Secretary Champat Rai emphasized that VIPs and eminent personalities will need to join the queues like other devotees during the period from April 16 to April 19. Passes for sugam darshan and aartis will also remain suspended during this time to streamline the flow of devotees.
To accommodate the expected surge in visitors on April 17, the temple gates will open at 3:30 am and remain accessible throughout the day, with closures only during brief intervals for rituals. Anil Mishra, another trust member, assured that live screenings of rituals will be provided, albeit with brief interruptions during key moments.
Additionally, devotees are urged to leave their belongings in designated areas to expedite entry and avoid congestion. The trust has extended gate opening hours to 11 pm on April 16 and 18, with measures in place to manage crowd movement and prevent overcrowding.
Inspector General of Police Praveen Kumar outlined plans for controlled movement, with 13 holding areas established to facilitate orderly access to the temple premises.
Amidst these preparations, Chairman of the Ram temple construction committee, Nripendra Misra, expressed confidence in completing the temple construction by December this year, signaling a significant milestone in the ongoing saga of Ayodhya.
