The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission's petition seeking stay on the ruling given by High Court with regards to SEC Commissioner was rejected by 3 judge Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Bobde. This is a blow to YSRCP Goverment and personally to Jagan who was determined to remove Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as State chief election comission officer. It is already known that Jagan took it personal when Mr. Kumar refused to conduct local body elections as per Jagan's demand.

During their verdict, the Supreme court bench also made very serious observation that it seems AP Government's intentions are not clean with regards to changing of state commissioner of SEC. It advised Governemnt not to play with institutions that has constitutional mandate and also expressed doubts regarding the ordinance method to bring about this transfer of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.

It is unfortunate that CM Jagan didn't listen to High Court ruling, went to Supreme court and had to hear such words from the Judiciary. If only one has less arrogance more democratic functioning then it would have been face saving personally for Jagan and also dignity for the office of CMO.
