Director Karuna Kumar’s ‘Palasa’ movie got huge appreciation from the audience as well as the cine critics. The talented director got many offers from several producers after the release of this crime drama set up in the 1970s backdrop. Producer Allu Aravind who showed much interest to make a film with the director has gone ahead and given him the advance also.

Sources in the industry say that Karuna Kumar has narrated a script to hero Dr. Rajasekhar. It is said to be a remake of super hit Malayalam movie ‘Joseph’. The actor and his wife Jeevitha have liked the movie very much. And also, Rajasekhar was popular for playing police officer roles during the early days of his career. Joseph also revolves around a former cop’s life and it suits the actor’s age too.

Hence, the couple wanted to go ahead to remake the film. News is doing rounds that producer Allu Aravind is planning to do the movie under his Geetha Arts 2 banner. So, the preparations are on to complete the formalities of buying the rights of the movie. Aravind wants to finish this film in a limited budget and release it simultaneously in theatres as well as on the OTT platform too. Anyways, let’s wait for the official announcement.

Once the movie goes on to the sets, the combination of Rajasekhar and mega compound producer will be very interesting in Tollywood. Because the angry hero criticized the megastar several times since the time when the doctor turned actor lost the opportunity to star in ‘Tagore’. Recently also, Rajasekhar’s onstage behavior during the diary launching event of MAA irked Chiru.

So, the positive development of ‘Aagraham’ hero doing a film with mega compound’s producer certainly helps the movie business also as everyone will be curious about its outcome.
