Gangster Shot Dead in an Attempt to Escape

It was reel turning to real or vice-versa. Fifty-year-old notorious Gangster Vikas Dubey from Uttar Pradesh was shot dead. All his close associates including Aman Dubey was shot by the UP police. The gangster came into limelight when he shot eight policemen who went to arrest him in his native Bikru village. There were almost 60 criminal cases on his head including extortion, kidnapping, and murder. The gangster story is similar to Bollywood flick perhaps many screenwriters and filmmakers might have watched the encounter closely.

Former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav tweeted that the encounter would help UP Government to clean up many secrets and shady deals that the State Government is involved in. There would be no traces of politician-criminal nexus.v

There was a hunt by the Police to nab the criminal. He was on a run after massacring right policemen. He was arrested yesterday at the famous Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh Ujjain. The security guard at the temple spotted him; the guards tried to confront him. He shouted at the policeman, “Main Vikas Dubey hoon, Kanpur wala!”

He was nabbed by the state police of Madhya Pradesh and handed over to the UP police. The incident took place when the police convoy was hardly one hour away from Kanpur. One convoy turned due to the rain-slicked highway. He snatches a gun and tried to escape the police. But the police surround him. Vikas Dubey fired at police in his final attempt to escape and the police fired back. He was injured and was hit by three bullets. The gangster was rushed to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
