Gang Fight End in Thota Sandeep MurderJun 03, 2020 07:52 AM
The fight scene was out of the movies when two gangs clashed amidst Sanath Nagar on Sunday. It was a street fight where both groups carrying sticks, sickles, and machetes were attacking each other. It was a real estate issue that led to the violence and death of a group leader. The opposite gang members sustained serious injuries and some are in critical condition. The video of the clash was disturbing and it is viral on the internet. Initially it seemed like a student’s clash, but post-investigation it was evident that it was a war between Thota Sandeep, and Manikanta alias KTM Pandu. The fight that involved hurling stones and wielding weapons was about an apartment settlement in Yanamalakuduru. Police are on a hunt to arrest the 20 people involved.
The fight was about one-upmanship between the two groups. Both leaders knew each other and there was a prior meeting about the apartment and everything was perfect. However, later on, the group leaders argued over the phone, which eventually led to serious confrontation. The assault was serious because the group members carried deadly weapons.
According to DCP Harshavardhan, it is a serious issue as there had not been any group clashes in the past few years. He assured that serious action will be taken against the miscreants. A case of rioting is booked against the group. The victim Sandeep Thota is survived by his wife and son and he belongs to Kanuru.
