Fire enveloped the Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City after a huge explosion at a pharmaceutical unit in Vishakapatnam Andhra Pradesh. The incident took place on Monday at 10:30 PM. There was intense panic among the locals and this would be the second accident after the LG Polymers plant styrene leakage. Residents in the Paravada area are shaken and they are afraid of the outcome.

The explosion occurred at Pharma City and there was a big fire. There is no casualty reported only one worker sustained an injury and four people escaped safely. The firefighters were unable to go near because of a series of explosions.

The explosion took place at a unit in Ramky Solvents and the cause is not yet determined. This is, unfortunately, turning to be a recurring feature in the port city. After LG Polymer Gas Leakage there was a reactor blast at Sainor life Sciences private limited on June 29th. The explosion at Ramky Solvents units is raising serious questions about the safety of Pharma plants.
