Corona Scare in Raghava Lawrence Trust…21 Found COVID Positive!

Raghava Lawrence is known to Telugu and Tamil audience as a choreographer, hero, and director. Lawrence hogged the limelight as a dancer through a special song in Jayasudha’s ‘Aunty’ movie. Later, he became a leading choreographer after making Megastar dance to his steps in ‘Hitler’. Eventually, Lawrence became a director with Nagarjuna’s ‘Mass’ and later made a successful debut as a hero in ‘Style’.

Raghava Lawrence who made it big in movies hailing from a very humble background does social work also. He takes care of the needy through his charitable trust in Chennai. Lawrence also donated 3 Cr on his behalf to deal with the Corona crisis. The choreographer turned director takes care of many homeless people by giving shelter to them in his trust-building at Ashok Nagar in Chennai.

At present, Corona is ringing alarm bells in Chennai and Tamil Nadu Government is conducting extensive rapid tests in the city. The people in the trust hostel were also tested when they showed the symptoms of the virus. Unfortunately, the tests returned positive for COVID-19 for 21 members including 18 children and 3 staff members.

The officials immediately shifted them to the quarantine center by shutting down the trust-building. The Greater Chennai Corporation has sanitized the premises with chemicals and marked the area as a containment zone. This hostel which is in Ashok Nagar falls in the Kodambakkam region and it is also known as Zone 10 of the GCC limits. Here, Corona cases are rapidly increasing in the city. Only Royapuram and Tondiarpet have more number of cases than Kodabakkam.
