Chiranjeevi Team meets AP CM Jagan at Tadepally

The team of Telugu Film Industry led by Megastar Chiranjeevi has met AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today. The celebrities who landed on a special flight at Gannavaram met the Chief Minister in Tadepally at 3:00 pm. Hero Akkineni Nagarjuna, director Rajamouli, producers D Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, and C Kalyan have attended this meeting which is accompanied by Minister Perni Nani.

Chiranjeevi has addressed the media after meeting CM Jagan. ‘The Telangana Government has given permission to resume the cinema shootings after 15th June. Similarly, the guidelines will be discussed with Nani for starting the shootings in AP also’ said Chiru. Further, the actor thanked Jagan for agreeing to waive off the minimum power tariff on cinema halls for the lockdown period.

The Chiru team also discussed about the long-pending Nandi awards with CM. Regarding this; Chiranjeevi expressed that Government recognition in the form of awards act as a huge encouragement for everyone in Tollywood. He stated that the Chief Minister has immediately agreed to their request and decided to give Nandi awards for the films released in the calendar year 2019-20. The actor expressed confidence that this award ceremony will be held by the end of the year.

Megastar explained that flexible ticket rating in the lines of Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai is also discussed to help the big-budget movies. Chiranjeevi stated that the cine bigwigs will discuss this with the officials in a separate meeting for a final decision. He exclaimed that the day such a ticketing system comes into effect, it will put an end to black-marketing and malpractices by giving way to transparency.

Chiru and Co also discussed the development of the cinema industry in the state of Andhra Pradesh with CM Jagan. ‘Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy has allotted over 300 acres of land in Vizag for the cinema industry. CM told us that he will reexamine that land for giving it for setting up film studios and outdoor units’ stated Megastar.

Further, it is said that AP CM also assured the TFI that the subsidies will be continued along with the allotment of plots for the industry people. Chiranjeevi thanked AP Chief Minister for responding positively to each and every issue they discussed with him. Finally, the actor expressed that he is very optimistic about the film industry's development in Andhra Pradesh especially in Vizag and its surroundings.
